A myriad of streams punctuate the moors, dividing the many surfaces of plant and peat.
These old battered rusty roofs sing out in the rich mix of greens and browns of autumn.
Latest in the series of the ever inspirational Callanish Stones on the Isle of Lewis.
Many views have the Clisham as their backdrop. Looking from Lewis south these sheds sit near the road to Harris.
The Standing Stones at Callanish create many moods and visitors come from all over the world to experience them.
Viewed as they can be from so many angles there are endless permutations of shape and form to be discovered.
Changing light and colours on the moor make the image of these small buildings seem different from season to season.
Tucked into the moor these little buildings make their own imprint on the landscape.
A third in the series of work inspired by the Standing Stones at Callanish on Lewis.
A lone house near the village of Callanish.
A small settlement viewed from the curve in the road in two different months of the year.
The village of Arnol is lined on the horizon, shown in the clear Hebridean light of a midsummer day.
A graphic design all in straight lines, illustrating a different kind of interpretation of the moor.
Looking back from the Standing Stones at Callanish stands this little house, abandoned and solitary. A traditional block has been designed from the image and staggered across the face of the quilt. It is made of a mixture of hand dyed cottons and Breanish tweeds woven on Lewis.
The changing light is a challenge to interpret. This piece is divided into nine, each section describing a subtly different range of colour, as seen in pebble, weed, sand, rock and sky.
The colours change dramatically on the moors in Lewis in the Autumn. Vibrant reds and purples, burnt sienna and umbers sing along beside the lush greens of the river bed.
