Effie Galletly Privacy Notice
I want you to browse my website [http://www/effiegalletly.co.uk], buy from my shop and enjoy my e-newsletter safe in the knowledge that your privacy is being respected so I have provided this privacy notice to let you know how your personal information may be used.
The Personal Information I Collect
I need to ask you to provide some personal information when you buy something from my shop or join my mailing list. My shop uses Paypal Checkout to receive online payments, process order details and collect customer contact information so that I can fulfil any purchases you make securely and efficiently. Some details are also shared with my mailing list provider so that new customers can be invited to subscribe to my e-newsletter. I use Mailchimp to process the names and email addresses of subscribers in order to send infrequent email updates about my activities, my website and other related information. Mailchimp also provides me with statistics and usage information about those emails. Every email sent via MailChimp includes the option to unsubscribe so you may easily withdraw your consent if you subscribe but later decide you no longer want to be contacted in this way.
Third Parties
I won’t share your personal information with anyone else or use it for any purpose that you wouldn’t reasonably expect as part of the essential administration of my business and as required by law. However, in order to share realtime information about my social media profiles on my website I use standard tools and “widgets” provided by companies like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. This means it may be possible for those companies to detect that you have visited my website (particularly if you are logged-in to that service) and they may use that information in accordance with their own privacy policy and based on preferences you may have set in your accounts with those websites.
Your Rights
You have rights under UK data protection law to control personal information that is held about you. This includes the right to access, correct or delete that data without any fee being charged. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) is the body that oversees data protection in the UK and also provides detailed information and advice about laws relating to privacy and data security on their website. For any matter relating to your privacy and data protection you can contact me through the contact form on my website.
Cookie Policy
My website sometimes uses cookies (or similar web-browser technologies) to store small amounts of information in your browser which allow the site to run properly. This is required for things like keeping track of your shopping cart when you buy things from my shop. Cookies are also used by Google Analytics which I use to gather general statistics about how my website is used. These cookies don’t allow my or anyone else to identify you personally and are not used to track you for advertising or any other purpose.
